Entertainment in Barcelona

The music complex L’Auditori is 42.000 m2 and was designed by architect Rafael Moneo. It is situated near the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya and the Plaça de les Glòries, a square where the three most important lanes of Barcelona merge: The Dioganal, Gran Via and the Meridiana. The building was being employed on March 22nd in 1999.

Icebarcelona wants its customers to have an unforgettable and unique experience. On the inside of the bar you can see a lounge that is of course completely made out of ice (the wall, furniture, the bar). You can enjoy a delicious beer, cocktail or actually any drink you want at a temperature of -5°C!It is an ice bar so it’s too cold to just wear your Bermudas. That’s why they are providing you with a thermal jacket and a pair of gloves to ease the shivering.

La Fianna, what stands for ‘warrior’ in Gaelic, is the cocktail/loung bar of Robby Dunne and Bridgit Barbour. The bar is funky and seductive and puts the beat in the heart of El Borne. It has an international kitchen with flavours of 8 countries including Japan, Thailand and Marocco. There are being played some cool tunes that gives the bar its good vibe. It’s perfect to chill out on one of the beds or velvety sofas with friends and/or lovers. An important thing is however to make a reservation if you want to eat here.

The Barcelona Zoo is located in Parc de la Ciutadella, near the old city centre and the beach. It is an extraordinary zoo where the animals live in large cages. Untill 2003, the white gorilla named ‘Floquet de Neu’(snowflake), was the main attraction of the zoo. The animal died suffering skincancerm but still has its own website on the internet. This site is not only meant to keep the memories of Snowflake alive but also to spread knowledge about threatened gorillas.

The most famous, busiest and maybe because of that the most coziest beach of Barcelona is the beach of Barceloneta. This is the beach that’s closest to the centre and because of that very popular with tourists.

Just in the centre, near the sea, at a nice square and just off the Ramblas there’s the Irish pub Flaherty’s located. The pub was established in 2001 and is now one of the busiest Irish pubs of Barcelona. It is a very spacious bar which offers good food all day till midnight, you can watch live sports, it has a sunny terrace and a room where you can play pool or darts. Actually Flaherty’s has it all. They are also offering free Wi-Fi for customers.

There is a cableway from the harbor to the top of the Montjuïc. The cables are hanging at a height of 100 meters above ground, and give you a spectaculair viewing of the city. Of course it isn’t an attraction for people with fear of heights. You will take off from a platform at the Sant Sebastiá tower, an elevator will bring you up. Every 15 minutes there will leave a cabin that stops on his way at the Jaume I tower at the World Trade Centre.

Montjuïc is one Barcelona's most famous mountain sites. There are plenty of attractions on the mountain and around the mountain area.  The mountain, which is actually a 213 meter high hill, serves as historical site for Barcelona near the city center.
