Family holiday in Barcelona- Look Forward to a Warm Catalonian Holiday

The Spanish capital city of Barcelona packs within itself diverse elements, be it in terms of its terrain, the local flavor or the people. It comes second to Madrid in terms of its size andis one of the leading centers of economic and cultural activities in Europe. It is also the most cosmopolitan city in the country. The fact that it is also one of the busiest ports further adds to its list of accomplishments. You would find that the clubs, restaurants and bars are always packed, especially the ones located in close proximity to the beach. So if you are planning for a European holiday this time around, then do consider visiting this Catalonian city.

At the South side of train station Sanst is Parc de l’Espanya Industrial situated, or the Parc of the Industrial Spain. The 4,6 hectare big park was constructed on the site of l’Espanya Industrial, a former textile fabric that was founded by the family Muntades in 1847.

Also sports fans will be well catered in Barcelona. You can find several attractions that won’t let any sport fanatic untouched: the Olympic Stadium, with the nearby Olympic Sports Museum and Camp Nou, the home port of FC Barcelona with the Barça Museum.

The Casa Terrades, a building designed by the modernistic architect Josep Puig i Cadalfach, is standing on the Avinguda Diagonal 416. This architect also designed the Casa Amatler and the textile factory that nowadays houses CaixaForum in Barcelona.

After being closed down for 7 years due to renovations, the Palau Güell in Barcelona re-opened its doors again. This building is considered one of the structures that gave the green light for the modernistic building style and the renewal of the European architecture. The building style is among others being characterized by parabolic forms and a creative use of columns.

One of the many trumps of Barcelona is without any doubt its 4,5 kilometres long beach. In fact the Barcelonese beach is divided in 8 smaller beaches, each with their own name. Almost at every beach of Barcelona you’ll find toilets, showers, drinking fountains and emergency posts. Following you’ll find the different beaches Barcelona has.
