Nit de Sant Joan is a festival in Barcelona and Spain which is a celebration of midsummer solstice and therefore it takes place during the midsummer's eve on 23rd June. There are bonfires, fireworks, concerts and dances organised. Old furniture is burend in bonfires this is a rite of bringing everyone together round the fire. Especially the open-air celebrations are very enjoyable which last from sunset on 23rd June to sunrise on 24th June.
