4 Romantic things to do in Barcelona

While Paris could be the capital city of Romance in the world, it does not in any way disqualify Barcelona as a romantic tourist destination for couples. There is so much to do in Barcelona as a couple, ranging from the irresistible beaches to sampling great wine and Spanish delicacies and all else in between. One thing though that is always guaranteed is that a romantic trip to Barcelona is unrivaled to that of any other destination in the world, thanks to the diversity of activities that couples can enjoy together. Here are some ideas of the top 4 things you can do in Barcelona.

1.    Spend some bonding time in the famous Barcelona Beaches

There are several beaches in Barcelona, but the first you will come across is the Barcelonata. This means it can get busy especially during the summer so for a couple looking for some private romantic time of bonding, then you might want to head further afield. Otherwise, you can soak in the soothing Spanish sun as you chit-chat sweet nothings with your significant other lying next to you. You can also swim and compete with each other on who is the fastest. Apart from swimming, other activities you can do as a couple include kite surfing and windsurfing.

2.    Visit the Picasso Museum

If your partner loves history, you can give them the honor of visiting the famous Picasso museum art gallery together. As the name would suggest, the Museu Picasso of Barcelona is home to the great artworks of the world famous Picasso, no wonder the museum receives over a million visitors each year. There are other museums and art galleries that you can explore as a couple together, such as the FC Barcelona museum which dates back to over 100 years. Museums offer the much needed break from the waters, the sandy beaches, and the hustles and bustles of the city.

3.    Take a romantic trip to the Tibidabo Amusement Park at the Peak of Tibidabo Mountain

Another great activity that awaits a couple is mountain climbing to the peak of the Tibidabo Mountain through the forests. You get a great aerial view of the city. At the summit there is a charming tiny theme park. Dating back to 1889, the park has this fanciful feel thanks to the many rides. While there are no bare-knuckle rides to expect, the friendly atmosphere and the attractive view of the city, not to mention the friendly locals dressed in fancy clothes parading through the park will make your romantic trip adorable and memorable.

4.    Sample a romantic Spanish Dinner

Barcelona is famous for its restaurants, tapas bars, and fine eateries. What better way to end a romantic day in Barcelona than with a romantic dinner of local cuisine and rich local wine? There is a lot to sample, and there are special restaurants synonymous with Romantic couples. The best thing to do would be to reserve a dinner for two with your tour guide to ensure you enjoy the best that the day has on offer.
