To explore Barcelona in a fun and alternative way you can hire a gocart. Thanks to the build in GPS-systems in these carts you will hear information about the attractions you’ll pass by on your route through the city. Presently you can hire these carts via the company GoCar.

The yellow gocarts drive on three wheels, are equipped with a 49cc gasoline engine and have two seats. They’re easy to handle and fun to ride with. You can choose a recommended route or plan one for yourself. In any case you’re free to stay as long as you want at any stop or attraction you pass by. The readymade routes between which you can choose are the following:

- Uptown: A tour through the broader streets of Barcelona, outside the old centre, at which you pass by a lot of structures of Antoni Gaudí (duration 2-3 hours)
- Downtown: A tour through the old city centre and on to the hill of Montjuïc at which you can visit different parcs and interesting museums (duration 2-3 hours)
- Daytour: This route combines the 2 mentioned above and takes you to the beaches as well
- Express: A compact tour that brings you to the most important icons of Barcelona (duration 1-1.5 hours)

The information GPS’s available in the following languages: Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Italian and German. To hire the carts there are a few requirements: passengers must at least have the age of 7 and drivers have to be 21 and be in the possession of a drivers license that is valid in Spain. Included with the price is a full tank, unlimited kilometers, two helmets and a third party insurance. With the price you also pay the amount of 300 Euros warranty.

The tours start from the company self at the Carrer Freixures 23 (opposite of the Mercat de Santa Caterina). You can get here with the subway L1 (stop Urquinaona) or L2 (stop Jaume I). From March until October GoCar is opened every day from 09.00 till 21.00 for November until February from 09.00 till 19.00.
